On the afternoon of October 27, 2018, the national science and technology terminology Approval Committee's "dermatology and Venereology terms" preparation meeting and approval work launching meeting were successfully held in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province with beautiful environment and pleasant scenery. The first half of the meeting was presided over by Professor Zheng Min, deputy leader of the psoriasis group of dermatovenereology branch of Chinese Medical Association and director of Dermatology Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University Medical College. Professor Zheng first warmly welcomed the leaders and experts from all over the country and briefly introduced the basic situation of the meeting.

        At the beginning of the meeting, a ceremony was held for the appointment of members of the National Committee for examination and approval of Dermatology and venereology and members of the Editorial Committee.         Next, director Pei Yajun delivered a speech on behalf of the National Committee for the approval of scientific and technological terms.         Professor Cui Yong, vice chairman and Secretary General of the Compilation Committee and director of the dermatology and venereal diseases department of China Japan Friendship Hospital, reported on the preliminary preparation work of the terminology Compilation Committee. Professor Cui Yong introduced: in October 2017, the national science and technology terminology Approval Committee started the work of Dermatology and venereal diseases, and selected 34 experts nationwide with strict standards and requirements The examination and Approval Committee, as well as the Compilation Committee composed of 91 experts. In order to standardize the scientific and technical terms of Dermatology and venereology in China, the most comprehensive, standardized, accurate and authoritative scientific and technical terms of Dermatology and Venereology were compiled. Professor Cui finally said: the road has been opened, the Department of responsibility, concerted efforts to complete the mission.

        The second half of the meeting was presided over by Professor Gao Xinghua, chairman designate of Dermatology and venereal diseases credit association of Chinese Medical Association and vice president of the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University, and announced the formal start of the term examination and Approval Committee.

        Then, director Zhang Yusen explained the process of compiling terms, points for attention and key points for approval. Director Zhang briefly introduced the process and matters needing attention in the compilation of terms; on the basis of reviewing the first draft of terms in dermatology and Venereology, he explained the problems existing in the compilation process one by one; in addition, director Zhang also introduced the key points of terminology approval to experts, hoping that all experts would do a good job in quality control during the approval process.

        Professor Gao Xinghua showed us the work plan of the National Committee for the approval of scientific and technical terms dermatology and Venereology, which made a preliminary plan and work deployment for the term approval.
